What a season we are in, right? COVID has changed our lives in so many ways. In order to keep our patients, our staff, and our volunteers safe, we have made some changes ourselves. Let’s look at what you can expect coming to Avenues for Women:

We have limited the number of people in the building to ensure social distancing. That means that we are seeing one patient at a time in our largest room for intake.

We are taking patients by appointment only. Before COVID, we gladly accepted walk-ins, but in order to maintain distancing, we are requesting that all potential patients call and schedule.

We are cleaning even more! As a medical clinic, we already hold to strict cleaning standards, especially in our bathrooms and ultrasound rooms. However, we have increased the frequency of disinfecting all rooms used by both staff and clients.

Masks are required by both staff and patients. If you do not have a mask or forget yours, don’t worry! We’ll provide one.

Temperature checks are part of our new morning routine. Each staff member and volunteer, as well as each patient and any others, are temperature checked.

We screen each staff member, volunteer, patient, and any others entering the building for COVID symptoms and exposure.

We have put in all of these measures not only for you to be safe but also to help you feel comfortable receiving our services. We equally value each person who walks through our doors- staff, volunteers, and patients- and want to provide the best confidential, compassionate care possible!
